Couples for Christ Global Mission Foundation, Inc. (CFC) ka Fundasaun Misaun Mundial Kaben na’in ba Kristu, Inc. (KBK) mak movimientu leigu ida nebe iha ligasaun ho Santa Kreda Katolika. Sede Misaun Sentrál KBK nian iha Manila, Filipina ho misaun sira iha nasaun seluk barak, inklui Timor Leste.


ISTORIA KBK KA CFC NIAN

WHAT IS COUPLES FOR CHRIST?
The Couples for Christ Global Mission Foundation, Inc. (CFC) is a lay ecclesial movement affiliated with the Catholic Church. Headquarters are in Manila, Philippines with missions in many other countries, including Timor Leste, where it is known locally as Kaben na’in ba Kristu or KBK.

HISTORY

  • Established in 1981, in Manila.

  • On March 11th, 2000 the Vatican, through the Pontifical Council for the Laity, recognized Couples for Christ as a Private International Association of the Faithful according to Canons 298-311 and 321-329 of the Code of Canon Law.

  • On April 25th, 2005, Feast of St. Mark the Evangelist, Couples for Christ received its permanent recognition from the Vatican as a Private Association of the Faithful.

  • At the end of April 2009, CFC has reached 161 countries and over 1 million members.

  • In Timor Leste, CFC was established in 2001 and is now present in the districts of Dili, Baucau, Oecusse, Ermera, Bobonaro, Maubisse, Lautem and Cova Lima with over two thousand members made up of married couples, single adults, youth and kids.
